Beyonce Launches House of Dereon in London

 

London’s star power was seriously ramped up a few notches last night when Beyonce and her mum Tina Knowles visited town to launch their House of Dereon collection at Selfridges.

The line, which the duo have been running since 2004 has only been available in the states until now, but was launched exclusively at Selfridges last night. House of Dereon is named after Beyonce's grandmother (Tina's mum) Agnes Dereon, who was a seamstress in Louisianna. Of course, Tina Knowles used to design the tour costumes for Destiny's Child (which might go some way to explaining how Beyonce always got the fiercest looks), and the House of Dereon collections are no less showstopping than these outfits: think feathers, sequins and, for S/S '12 some intense exotic prints.

Fashion Face-Off: Solange Knowles vs. Kim Kardashian in Thakoon

Kim Kardashian and Solange were both spotted out wearing a blue and saffron abstract printed silk shirt dress  by Thakoon.
Solange wore the vibrant number paired with her favourite gold and purple sandals  while  attending  the Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation party. Kim Kardashian also wore the same blue and yellow printed Thakoon dress, she completed her look with a pair of Jimmy Choo Valley platform sandals  and a brown leather belt cinching  her in at the waist.
